In memory of James Ransone's tumblr.

Once upon a time the internet was graced with James Ransone's presence. It began with a twitter account & ended with a tumblr by the name of The Future of What. It was wonderful until a follower referenced How I Met Your Mother unknowingly creating a domino effect of fury ultimately running James Ransone off the internet. Lets remember the good times & perhaps James will return to us.

The Future Of What read like a well crafted story and while I don’t remember the beginning and wasn’t around for the end, the middle was fucking entertaining.

I would like to commend you, his insane fans, for your invaluable contribution. Without your asinine questions and comments The Future Of What would not be as we remember it today.

On September 19th 2010 James Ransone was mad as hell and not going to take it anymore. With the final words “it’s been real y’all.” he shut his shit down. Lets remember and never forget The Future Of What.

And reading what he had written before, I feel like it’s such a shame I ever missed it. So please, Mr. Ransone. If you would be so kind and come back to us to share your wisdom again so that I can stop rat-fucking through Generation Kill, through Youtube, just to get a glimpse of you and have a smile everyday.

i think that is a weird thing to transition into from advertising. look, the film business comes down to the almighty dollar, that’s why there are so many shitty movies out there, and since you already have a degree which requires an intimate knowledge of how to sell shit, i would say get your masters in English literature, ie: creative writing. that way, you’ll understand how to craft stories. that combined with an understanding of advertising, you’ll be winning oscars in no time (or at least a people’s choice award)
